Question and Answer

Hi everyone! The last three weeks have been seriously stressful and hectic for me, so I'm sorry if I have not been posting more frequently. However, I am going to take this time to answer a few questions made by Luci from Pretty Little Doodahs from her Liebster Nomination! (Thanks Luci!) Let's get started, shall we?

Who is your favourite blogger?
I don't necessarily have a favourite blogger, but I do have particular websites I always find myself going back to. Aside from online shops like ASOS and NastyGal, I like WhoWhatWear, and Lauren Conrad's website.
What's your pet peeve?
Easy question. I hate negative people. I don't like negativity in my life, so negative nancies are just toxic for me.
Favourite season of the year?
It has always been a constant battle between autumn and summer! I like autumn because I get to layer up clothes, and it isn't that cold, while with summer, I don't have to worry about layering up!
Favourite candy?
I am not really a candy person, but if I had to choose I would say sour candies in general. That's because regular tasting candies are just too mainstream, you know.
Best beauty tip?
Do NOT sleep with makeup on! (I learned this the hard way, unfortunately.)
Boots or shoes?
Boots! Ankle boots, specifically. In fact, I don't own any pair of sneakers or sandals. Just ankle boots.
Pink or Red lipstick?
I haven't tried pink lipsticks yet, so I can't really answer this question. I love a red lip though. I wear red lips occasionally, and nude lips all the time.
Favourite Takeaway?
Uhm, mexican food. Yes yes yes.
Beauty product you couldn't live without?
Bronzer, because I'm so pale. It's gross.
Who inspires you?
My love, and family.

Why did you start blogging?
I started blogging last year, and it was merely out of boredom. Now, it's a growing passion and I can honestly say I am enjoying it! It's also nice that I get to go back on my posts and sort of look back on my life, if that makes any sense. :)

There you have it! Questions answered :) Let me know if any of you have any additional questions, feel free to leave them in the comments section below.

Sending you all some love,

Glassons Haul

I went shopping online at Glassons last week to take advantage of the 20% off discount you get when you sign up for their mailing list.  I haven't shopped for clothes for the longest time now, so I was seriously excited grabbing new clothes this time.  All of my clothes are just exhaustively overused now because I have been wearing the same clothes over and over again. It was just time for a change, you know.

Shopping at Glassons online is relatively easy, as everything's clear and can be easily navigated in the website, so there were no issues there.  Putting in the 20% off discount was a bit tricky, however, so make sure you double check because it disappears sometimes? Hmmm. I almost paid for the non-discounted price.

I was also happy about the fact that my purchases arrived at my doorstep the next working day, but I did expect that it will be a quick delivery, with Glassons being a local brand.  It should not take long before your package arrives when you are based in New Zealand.

Anyway, have a look at my purchases below.

This packaging was a little bit strange to me, because I ordered four items.  I can't believe they managed to fit all four items in one tiny bag. I am not saying it was a bad thing though, because nothing from the items arrived in damaged condition. That's all that matters.

I love this fluffy knit sweater.  You can see these kinds of  sweater practically everywhere at the moment. I guess they're on trend.  Anyway, I tried this on and it feels just as soft as how it looks. It is so comfortable, that I am planning to buy one of each colour.  You can't go wrong with a fluffy sweater, you just can't. Out of the four items, this was my favourite purchase. I love sweaters, and I love fluffy things, so yes. I don't think I need to explain further.

This is just a blue chiffon top which I decided to buy, because it's one of those tops that can go with anything.  It is a bit of a safe choice, I guess, but  I  definitely see myself styling this with a statement necklace.  I like flowy tops, so this is just perfect for me. Plus, I don't have anything blue really.

I did not hesitate buying this flowy chiffon dress.  It is just a versatile piece, and can be worn all seasons.  During winter, I can easily style this with tights, boots and a trench. While at summer I can pair this with heels and a statement necklace.  I love this dress! I wish Glassons would sell them in every colour.  I seriously do. #desperate

This black skort is also a versatile piece. I can pair it with almost anything, and it can also be worn in all seasons. It all just depends on how you style it.
There are still a couple of items I want to grab at Glassons, but overall, I am happy with all my purchases and I can't wait to be able to wear them all. You might notice how I've mentioned versatility a couple of times, and I think it's because that's what I look for mostly when I shop for clothes.  I always (well not always, but most of the time) make sure that I am buying clothes I can actually wear in various ways, during different seasons.  I call it optimal usability (lol).

If you want to check out Glassons and their clothes, just have a look here! I must say that Glassons has stepped it up with their clothes recently.  Before, I wouldn't even go inside their shops because I did not like the clothes. Now, it's one of my favourite shops.

I still miss my Zara and my Topshop though. I wish Topshop would just open a bigger store already... in town preferably as well.  #frustrated
